Peer Mentoring Training

The Peer Mentoring Programme is a great start for anyone looking at working one to one with adults. 

Here's all the training needed to become a Peer Mentor, available to anyone: 

  • Day 1 Peer mentoring training; Thurs 11th Oct- 10am-4pm @ Bath Football Club, Twerton Park, Twerton, BA2 1 DB ( John Reynolds Lounge)

  • Day 2 Peer Mentoring training; Thurs 18th Oct 10am-4pm@ Bath Football Club, Twerton

  • Safeguarding; Thur 25th Oct 10am-1.30pm @ Bath Fire Station, Bathwick Street, BA2 6PU

  • Respecting difference; Equality, Diversity & inclusion; Tue 30th Oct,  10am-12.30pm @ Bath City Farm, Kelston View,BA2 1NW

  • Lone-working; Thur 1st Nov 10.am-1.30pm @Futures Hub, Roper Building, Bath College, Avon Street, BA1 1UP

  • Make every contact count; delivered over 2 half days; Tue 6th & Tue 13th Nov 10am-1.30pm @ Bath Football Club, Twerton Park, BA2 1DB

  • Introduction to working with people with mental health; Tue 20th Nov 12 -4.30pm @Futures Hub, Bath College, Avon Street, BA1 1UP

If you want to go on any of these courses, just book via the Well-being College or the Volunteer Pass.

Each month we will be offering a short training session as part of the continual professional development for volunteers, below are the dates for the next sessions

 

  • 14th September 1-2.30pm at John Reynolds room, Bath Football Club, Twerton Park, Twerton  ; Virgin Healthy Lifestyles- short talk on what service they offer followed by a brief introduction to the law & volunteering (safeguarding/ E,I&D/ confidentiality/ Data protection)

 

  • 29th November 10-1.30pm at The Futures Hub, Bath College, Avon Street, Bath ; Be Heard in B&NES: Self-advocacy training with Swan Advocacy
